  • Vanderploeg First-Generation Recognition & Reception: Join us in celebrating our First-Gen Spartans! There will be a networking reception from 4:30-6:00PM followed by an awards recognition.   • First-Gen Leadership Lecture: Are you ready to embark on a journey of personal growth and leadership development? Join us for a captivating and inspirational evening at the “Emerging Leaders” lecture, proudly sponsored by TRIO Student Support Services (SSS). This event will feature a true Detroit native and former American football wide receiver, Jonathan Orr, who will share his insights and experiences on the path to becoming an influential leader.
